On and On
I'm experiencing a lot of chi-love. Tony has been doing great with his house training! Plus, he's fantastic company while my husband is away on business.
I have felt so 'blessed' by God lately. And it comes in the strangest forms. Like, I really believe He sees fit to bless me with the BEST parking spot at my kid's schools. The parking lots themselves are small and hard to manuver, but I have been getting a prime parking spot every day(no matter what time I'm showing up!) and yes, I'm chalking that up as a blessing. Crazy women drivers!
Being a creature of habit and routine, it's now my routine to visit a small coffee stand that is on my way to middle child's kindergarten. I have my own punch card, and they are starting to recognize me by what I drink, etc. I love their coffee lids because they have little notes written on them.
Yesterday's was.
I realize that being happy is a state of mind. You chose it!
I choose happiness by knitting my fingers off. Oh how I love it! It's almost like an 'addiction'. Keeps my hands busy and it's such a stress reliever. The yarn winding and slow rhythmic clack of my needles totally helps me sort out my thoughts and helps with getting my day organized. (believe it or not!)
I've torn my bolero up 5 times! This is my 6th attempt at working this pattern. Yes! I want this piece badly! I get to the lace part of the bolero and boom! My stitches are too tight(which is a pain when you knit) and my pattern is off in every row. At least it was...my 6th attempt is going along fantabulously! :)
It also makes me insanely happy to buy new needles. (Needle fixation!) Jolie, my youngest who's only 4, loves going to the LYS. (Local Yarn Shop!) I love to believe it's because she's a knitter in training! However, I'm pretty sure that right now it's because they give away free hershey's kisses with every purchase. haha. So, she was quick to let me 'have' anything I wanted in the store. I splurged and bought my first pair of Lantern Moons!!
AHHHHH! Total head over heels in love with my new needles!
The LYS did not carry the standard sizes, however, I could not pass up a set of size 2 dpns(double pointed needles). The same size Meadow the cat destroyed along with my first sock! :( I'm working on a pair of leg warmers in the cutest pink/purple varigated yarn for the girls.
Okay, this post is long and full of parentheses today! Forgive me for jabbering on, but it seemed like I had so much to get out. lol.

2 ppl with something to say:
You have to COMPLETELY tear out your bolero each time? Or just the messed up lace part? It would seem that you have a lot of patience...
I have fragged the whole thing 5 times. Each time I found something wrong in the ribbing, or I added a stitch. I am attempting to make this piece look professional, so absolutely no mistakes! If I don't catch a wrong stitch(which has happened 5 times already.)I have been making myself go back and fix it, rather than 'live' with it.
Patience? Yes. But it's gonna be worth it! I just know it!! :)
