Hopefully we can put this topic to rest!
Daniel is doing very very well. He's healing nicely and aside from a short struggle about returning to school, he's fine.
Everything went as well as we could've hoped with the dog owner. They are going to pay for all of the incrued medical expenses and any 'therapy' Daniel might need. :) The issue of the dog is a sore one for me. I really do not like the idea of an animal who's brutally (yes, brutally!) bitten a child anywhere near my home or my yard where my kids play. We asked that the owner remove the dog, but was met with refusal. Rather than make a fuss(God isn't saying that we should make one), we are laying the whole situation to rest.
I am probably going to be known as the crazy dog lady from now on, because you can be sure I'll be calling in a lot of dogs to my HOA! :)
I was going to blog about some knitting today. (still plugging away at my bolero!)
But, I really really would like your prayers for my friend Jana. :) Jana is a missionary serving along side her husband in Mexico. I've known Jana since we were 15 years old. She and I have only met once in our lifetime! We've been pen pals for all this time. I say I 'know' her as in, we used to write each other religiously, almost every day in fact! We met in person shortly before my 16th birthday while my parents were on furlough in the states. What a high time that was!
Time moves forward and we both grew up, got married, but still staying in touch. Kindred spirits are like that!
She's expecting her third baby tomorrow! Send up prayers today for her would you? She's having a scheduled c-section and needs all your prayers for her health and body, and for Benjamin's safe delivery and health. Send up a quick prayer for her husband as well! He's gotta stay strong and alert too. :)
"Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God!" Psalms.
1 ppl with something to say:
