I declare my dear Jones

Autumn is my absolute favorite season hands down. I love the smell in the air, the briskness! I look forward to chilly mornings and summer-like afternoons. What I love the most about fall is the changing of the leaves. I wait anxiously every year for that slight turning from green to amber reds and stunning yellows!

I also grew up in the Ozark Mountains. The Ozarks are full of maple, oaks and the lovely white birch trees! It's freakishly beautiful how quickly the colors change, and how the whole world looks different from the month of August to October. :)

However now, I live right smack dab next to the Evergreen State! It's lovely and quite breathtaking. But, it's not the same in it's surprises as far as changing of the leaves. hehe.

I look for 'color' wherever I go this time of year. I look for that bright spot of red, or yellow amongst all the green furry evergreens. Right across the way, I have been keeping my eye on
the neighbor's tree. This little guy is totally ready for the fall season! Look at him glow! :)

It made me wonder what is up with my own little maple?
It's barely giving me any signs of yellowing. I have decided to not worry about my own little guy not 'keeping up with the Jones'.

PS. My neighbor's names aren't really Jones. But that would be funny if it were.
PS. I named the tree across the way Jones. Just to be funny.
