some panty hosein!
Today, I took the girls to thrift stores around CDA. We were looking for 'new' jeans for the both of them. Their legs seem to grow faster and longer than any other parts of their bodies.
At every thrift store, there was a 'yarn' or a needlecraft section. I went nuts.
I found 9 or 10 skeins of sport yarn for 25 cents a skein! (insert crazy screaming)
I am finding out that I love love thrift store yarn. It's cheap for one. With all the scarves and ipod pouches I like to make, it's nice to find little bits and out of date colors for pennies!
The biggest plus and best finds, were the needles. (insert sighing and I think I just died and gone to heaven facial expressions) Already, I'm favoring certain types of needles. But, it's really expensive to just go out and buy every needle set at Michael's! :) So, I have been happy with my 7's, 8's, and 10's. But, I found 2 sets of circulars, and 4 sets of aluminium knitting needles in sizes I don't own!
I think Jesus sent me there.
My first 'new' project will be to knit Kaitlyn leg warmers. They are really popular here right now. I noticed a lot of little girls wearing them at church on Sunday. Kaitlyn saw my 'new' needles in the cart and she said, "You are going to knit me some panty hosein aren't you?!"
That is what she calls leg warmers. hehe.
Pictures to come as soon as I revive my camera batteries. :P
