nothing else is new

I keep waiting for something awesome to happen so I have something new to blog about...but things are pretty much the same as they were when I last blogged.
Still working on my knitting projects, making dinner, doing laundry etc...typical housewivery things. :)

My mom and my sister came to visit me last weekend. We had a blast as only the three of us can. We've all changed so much, and we get along like best friends these days. I'm so thankful for that! I would hate it if it were still like when I was 9 and could only think of ways to whack my sister while my mother wasn't looking. lol.

My sister has started doing altered books, so we are doing a round robin together. Yay! I think this is great mostly because my sister is one of the most talently creative people I know. It's fun to share things we have in common. While she was here, we went shopping at different thrift stores...this is one of our favorite pasttimes ever! Anyway, we were shopping for books to alter and the sales lady kept trying to help us find books, but she was thinking of books to read, not books to tear up, write on, glue in and collage over. lol. She must've thought we were crazy in some of our methods to chosing a book to "read".
