it's about a girl and she's kinda weird...

I am never sure how to post a blog that is full(or empty) of...stuff.

bullets?

Separate paragraphs?

a list?

  1. Nanowrimo starts in 2 days! That's right folks! Two. Dos. (I really hope that is how you spell two in Spanish. I know there are at least 2(dos) people who read this blog that speak Spanish. I do not claim to speak Spanish, but I do claim knowing how to spell. But I hope you can forgive me if I can't spell in another language. ha)
  2. I am not going to publish my story for all to read. I decided that over several days of being terrorfied of my impending failure. There is nothing worse than a cliff-hanger! I do not want to feed you bits and pieces, then not finish. Then you will feel my loserly ways and honestly, I should probably only subject myself to that. :P It's also recommended by Nanowrimo, that you just write. Scribble and be uninhibited while writing with wreckless, senseless, insane abandonment! Get all that angst out onto paper...then edit. Because cutting it down or into pieces is always the hardest part. I would hate for you all to read my...insane wreckless abandonment scribbles. lol
  3. I feel the freshest in the afternoons for writing. Usually when I'm not at the computer! How weird is that?
I want to learn how to make coffee/lattes/espresso drinks.
  1. When I worked at the bookstore, I had the opportunity to learn how to barista. I passed up on that wonderful opportunity because I was trying to lose weight and I know all I would have done was stick my thumb into everyone's drink and gain 12 pounds.
  2. I spend close to 25 dollars a week in buying coffee and aforementioned caffeinated drinks. No, that isn't alot of coffee, it's like expensive to have someone make it for you, then you tip them, and oh can I have a danish too? Twice, okay maybe four times in one week. heh.
  3. It can't be too difficult to make your own hot drinks and buy your own little flavors now can it? Certainly won't cost you 100 dollars a month...(yeah, it's frightening when I say it like that....25 dolla a week sounds better. :)
When I moved up "north", I discovered a lot of cultural differences from where I grew up in the "south".
  1. "Y'all" is a funny word to people in the North. They will laugh at you, then immediately ask, "Where are you from?" This word slips out from time to time, and I get the eyebrow and sometimes they alternate the question and ask me instead, "You're not from here...are you?"
  2. It's colder and more snowy-like up this way.
  3. They are very concerned that you stay in your space and not ever intrude into theirs. I practically grew up visiting neighbor's porches. That's what you did at evening tide. And if you didn't go around visiting other people's porches, you sat on your own porch and waited for the people to come to you.
  4. In Washington and Idaho there seems to be a low tolerance for funeral processions. I grew up believing that a procession carrying a dead loved one meant that they always had the right of way. Traffic and time would stop and you would wonder who died and yeah, given just 50 seconds to reflect on your life, your time and those most dear to you.
  5. Ice tea isn't as sweet.
I tried to figure out how to write this. I did. But it only came out this way. Hack and slash at my style all you want. I feel better.

dot dot dot.

1 ppl with something to say:

Jana 3:30 PM

CariƱa, you did spell 2 right! Felicidades! It seems we are as much kindred spirits now as when we were young, silly, teenage girls! I spend close to $25 a week on specialty coffees as well. Unfortunatly for our budget, we live within 2 min. of three awesome coffee shops! One of the coffee shops is called "Lolita Cheesecake Factory"...need I say more? :) Love ya, Jane
