winter is coming!

We're approaching our first year in our first owned home. :) I thought about throwing a party for our house. It's it's first year of having someone to love it, and clean it(sometimes) and make memories in it. But, it's just a house right?

It's turning winter here and it's starting to get really cold. I like to turn the thermostat up until my toes quit feeling chilled...but that means cranking it up higher than my husband likes me to. So, I stay in bed until he's gone to work, then I turn it up high enough that I'm not afraid to come out into the cold. Which usually means waiting until your breath quits showing in the air. :)

Halloween is coming. Traditionally, I've never really celebrated this holiday. I let my son dress up for school and for candy at the local stores, but he's never actually done the 'trick or treat'ing' part. This year I got invited to my first dress up halloween party. Now if I was 12, I would love this...now I'm just worried, that I'll get dressed up, look like a dork and that is my first halloween. I think in spite of whatever happens, we'll all go out this year and trick or treat...at least up and down our block. Our house would be proud of us if we did that. You know...trying to fit into the neighborhood. hehe.
