oh it makes me wanna felt, throw my hands up and felt!
There is a tiny project in Laurie Perry's book, called the "Felted Bracelet Bag". Soon as I saw the pattern, I was dying to make one, so I of course did what any knitting enthusiast would do and went and bought the 'mats' right away.
I have never felted before, but thought this would be a great first project to try my hand at felting.
About 1am this morning I cast on for my first experience felting wool on purpose! I did my bind off around 2am right when Anne of Green Gables was the Lily Maid and was being rescued by Gilbert Blythe. (swoon)
Of course, I couldn't NOT felt it. I had to stay up and finish my movie...as well as finish what I started. lol.
The Pros of Felted Bracelet Bag:
- It's small and I knit it up in an hour
- Because it gets felted you can be a punk sloppy rebel knitter.
- The little sewing you do can be part of your punk sloppy rebel-ness because it gets felted in.
- It's knit in Stockingnette, so it's easy boring knitting you don't have to pay attention to unless you're at incr or decr. hehe
- It's small. How are you going to get the sink there? (sarcasm)
- Felting means knitting something HUGE, then having it shrink enormously. (I think this is an oxymoron, but I like that. Shrink Enormously)
- You wanna make more because hey, they are fabulous as presents.
2 ppl with something to say:
First of all, you make knitting sound so fun I wanna try! Secondly, I have been looking every where for Anne of Green Gables, where can I buy it? I am dying to watch it again! It´s been more than 9 years since I´ve seen it!!
*Ahem*
Nice tattoo...
