being and becoming
Because my kids are the best, I have been spending a lot of time with them this summer. If I'm not working, we're hanging out trying to keep the house tidy(which is harder than one would think!)or we're going to the lake for daily swimming lessons! Daniel has learned how to "doggie paddle" and hold his head under water.
Kaitlyn and Jolie have both learned how to ride their bikes! Jolie is only 4 years old and that she has learned this feat faster than any of my children make me soooo proud. She has this way of doing things that is so different. I was surprised she learned how to ride so soon. I give credit to her daddy, her grandma and big brother and sister for being patient and showing her how.
Summer seems to have been just flying flying by! It seems that every day is full of something, then it's time to go to bed and do it all over again!
I have not spent ANY time knitting this summer. My yarn carpet bag that I was working on will probably end up getting ripped out. I lost my "place" a few times and tried to just pick it up. Leaving a few rows that are misplaced. I can't stand it...so most likely will rip this out soon.
Losing weight is still at the forefront of my mind. I have recently taken up losing weight with a friend. She and I talk daily and report our 'goals' and food intake and all that stuff to each other. Honesty is key! It's been wonderful because I think it's helped me stick with something that has always been so hard for me.
I realize that in eating better, and thinking different, I'm 'becoming' someone different. My thought processes about food, and how I approach cooking is different than it was previous. I'm loving it and over all feel healthier.
