hardest thing ever, best thing ever.

So it's official. Three days before the end of November and I finally closed the last 'chapter' of my novel. Final word count: 100, 609. Yeah, I'm an overachiever. haha.
Basically, I have a ton of editing to do if I ever want to let anyone read my "novel".

This month was the worst possible month for me to even think about writing. Every member of my family has a birthday in November, I had a wedding I participated in, and it was Thanksgiving for crying out loud. But, I did it. :)

I felt overwhelmed by so many emotions this month. So many I can't even begin to describe how I felt some days. Mostly depression. Oh! It was such a release to go crawling to my computer, snuggle up in my robe and cup of tea and write. Really, really write! Pages and pages, and the words came out like...verbal diarrhea. Yeah, that's sick, but man, I felt so good after each 2 or 4, or 6 hour session. It was almost like being pregnant with a book, and it was totally my time to deliver. (haha, I'm still kinda in novel mode with all my descriptive descriptions.)

Special thanks to my kids. Actually, all the thanks goes to them. They faithfully every day did ALL my chores, cheerfully turned down the television when I asked, brought me my cups of tea and would give me hugs when I would sit back and grab my head and sigh. hehe. Jolie, my youngest at 5 now, quit asking me to read her a book. Instead asking, "Mommy, when are you going to write ME a book?" I have fans! lol.

Now, I'm tired. I think I'm gonna go nap this afternoon.
